December 2015 Meeting

Several of us gathered for our December meeting at Barsham Village Hall, and there were several new models displayed.

Geoff brought along a 0-16.5 brass chassis complete with valve gear and motor that is being constructed for radio controlled North British (British style) 2-6-2 locomotive design body, - superb miniature engineering.  Alex was displaying his small industrial 009 shelf layout and a new kit-built Grainge & Hodder baseboard section 900mm x 400mm.  On the test track were several On30 and 009 locomotives some of which are pictured below.  Alan showed a collection of On30 locos that he had recently purchased or had been working on, Phil was showing a 009 scale De Winton 3D loco and Richard brought along a Narrow Planet Hunslet, a 3D printed railcar and a new Minitrains release Baldwin 2-6-2.  Graham brought along the beginnings of a new river side shelf layout and a series of scratch built buildings in 009 scale.  Jim was showing us the additions made to his table top layout "Hubbards Halt" including point controls made using fibreglass rod.
